At the beginning of 2017, Eindhoven launched a renewed Share the Vibe video campaign. This year, talents from Eindhoven are in front of ánd behind the camera. Today, it is the turn of videographer Niels Groenendijk. He created this video as a tribute to the city, by showing its futuristic aspects. “Eindhoven as the new kind of Dubai.”
A unique factor
15 years ago, Niels decided to move to Eindhoven. He works at the intersection of graphic design and video and once every while, he does projects with music producer SHANDY BEATS and old friend Timmy Vanilli. This Share the Vibe video is one of those projects. His inspiration for the film shots was drawn from science fiction films like Total Recall. “I put the Eindhoven logo in a grid and made the sign from perspex with LED lights. The logo features in this video.”
Niels on Eindhoven: “It always surprises me how much talent is present in this city. Eindhoven has some kind of magic formula by which it produces creative talent. On the one hand, the city can be calm and quiet, on the other hand it is bustling with energy and is full of ideas and innovations. (…) No matter where you go, when you return to Eindhoven, there is some special energy that hardly any other city possesses. A unique factor.”
Share the Vibe
Eindhoven is in the global top ten best cities for talent. And it shows. The prior Share the Vibe videos were dedicated to other talents, such as STORM Eindhoven, What If Collective and The Ruggeds. The Eindhoven brand is a dynamic brand that belongs to the city council but also to the city itself. The ‘vibes’ of the brand logo are free for every person in Eindhoven to invest his or her energy in.
